Connie Leung received her veterinary medical degree from the University of Guelph, Canada and her doctorate degree in philosophy from The University of Hong Kong, People’s Republic of China.
After obtaining her PhD degree, she continued as a scientist at the School of Public Health, The University of Hong Kong and her research focused on the ecology, evolution, epidemiology and pathogenesis of influenza viruses. In 2014, she joined the Centre for Comparative Medicine Research, The University of Hong Kong as Assistant Technical Director. Connie currently also serves as a member of the University’s institutional animal care and use committee and the AAALAC Council on Accreditation. She has expertise in animal care and use programs and training on animal research ethics and biomethodology.
