The manuscript “Introduction to the EQIPD quality system” was recently accepted by and published in eLife. This publication marks an important milestone for the EQIPD project as it introduces the EQIPD Quality System (QS) to the broad scientific community.
The paper summarizes the concept and principles of the EQIPD QS, explains how the QS is structured and built based on 18 Core Requirements. Finally, guidance for scientist how to implement such a QS and an outlook into the future of EQIPD are provided.
